Talent For A Cure {JDRF Event} : Talent For A Cure was a fundraiser organized and hosted by HHS student, Blythe Beebe, to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Blythe lives with Juvenile Diabetes and it was touching to see so many of Blythe's talented friends come together to perform in support of her and the JDRF, as well as all those who came out to attend and make donations. We at BP were also honored to donate our time to photograph this fun event for her and the JDRF. Thanks Blythe!

Talent For A Cure {JDRF Event}

The Zombie Apocalypse 2011 : I had the amazing opportunity to work with some local High School Performing Arts students on this conceptual photography project... A Zombie Photo Shoot!
Being a huge fan of shows like "The Walking Dead", Resident Evil" and "Dawn of the Dead", I can't tell you how excited I was to photograph this session, and I love how much these kids were into it. They even researched and applied their own make-up. (A huge thank you to the parents for giving the OK for this rather gory & undead session. It was amazing.)

Showtime II 2011 {Event}

Every 32 Minutes {Hoquiam High School Event} : Earlier today I went to HHS by a request from Senior, Luke Barr. He wanted me (along with our daughter/photographer, Bri,) to photograph the Drunk Driving /Texting while Driving Awareness project that he was participating in.
Throughout the day "every 32 minutes", another student represented another drunk driving accident. The reaper would find the student, emergency crews would appear and remove the student on a stretcher covered in a white cloth. Arrests were also made during class times.At one point, students came out of classes to find a wrecked vehicle with several victims including Luke, seen here, who had been thrown through the windshield to the hood. Students watched while emergency crews attended to the victims and Luke was "airlifted" to the hospital.
Impaired/Distracted driving is such a horrible reality. Far too many drivers, of all ages, take unnecessary risks and I was so proud of the students for volunteering and the respect they showed. And I must add that the men and women who risk their lives every day as medical, fire and police officers are true heroes. Thank you for all you do.

HMS Spring Dance 2011 : This spring we spent an evening at Hoquiam Middle School's Spring Semi Formal Dance.
The dance was a school fundraiser put on by the Honor Society. All time and proceeds (photography, editing and photo sales) were dedicated and donated to their fundraiser.
What a fun night! We are so glad we could help!
